Camping

We took advantage of the good weather Utah has FINALLY been having and went camping for Memorial Day. We headed up to Hobble Creek Canyon in Springville with our friends Scott and Dana and had a great time. Of course, I was the only one that froze in the middle of the night...but it was still a good time and can't wait to do much more of it.

Our beautiful tent.

Scott looking like a turtle with a massive shell. There is never a lack of laughs when Scott is around.

The boys cutting down our firewood.....

such lumberjacks.....

Rick even took his shirt off for the occasion:)

Scott and Dana. So cute.

Enjoying the campfire. It got so hot it burnt my lips and they have been chapped for the past 3 days. So worth it though. I love love love campfire.

Dana has a photographic memory for every movie quote in the history of cinema. It sucks big time because I am notorious for forgetting EVERYthing from movies. While she is quoting funny movies and has everyone rolling, I am sitting clueless trying to catch up. She is unbelievable!

Scott, Rick and I burning some bad memories. Nuff said:) It was wonderful!

Anniversary Number Three

I am a day late, but couldn't forget to post that we celebrated our 3rd anniversary yesterday. June 1, 2007 was the day I made the best decision of my life to marry Rick. As some of you know, I did not make it very easy on him during our engagement. I was scared to death of marriage. I put him through a torturous one year long engagement with a few canceled wedding dates in between. If only I would have known then how marriage is not scary, but rather wonderful. I will never forget his face when I walked in the doors at the temple the day we were getting married. He looked so relieved I showed up. I have never regretted my decision since that day. I will never be able to express how grateful I am to him for being patient and sticking by my side. He is my rock, my best friend and the most honorable person I know. I am so proud to be his wife and to have him by my side for eternity.

We wanted to go away for the weekend to celebrate, but we had to be back to church on Sunday so we decided to take a mini trip up to SLC. We went to the temple, went to The Roof for dinner and then Rick surprised me with a night stay at Little America. We had so much fun being together and just relaxing.

Okay, my sappy post is over...I love you Rick!
