Finals Are History, Bring On Christmas

Rick and I are done with finals for the semester!! Rick was lucky because he got his done on Monday and had the whole week to relax while I studied in agony and made myself miserable all week. I go crazy during finals, I study and study and study......and study and I still don't ever feel like I'm ready. Rick is just the opposite, he looks at his notes a few times and just goes and takes the test....oh it makes me jealous! Everything went great and we both felt really good about how we did. Only 3 more classes left at BYU and I am done with my degree. I am so ready to be done, and I can't wait! I must say I slept like a baby last night. I'm so happy I can now just focus on Christmas instead of school.

We are both really excited for Christmas. We are in California with Rick's fam this year and it will be my first Christmas away from Utah and my family. It's going to be different but I am really excited to be with Rick's family and see what they are all about during the holidays:) Tonight we are doing a little get together with my family and exchanging presents because we will be gone, I am making predictions on how many separate times my mom will tear up cause I am leaving. My current prediction is 10!! haha. I love her.

Our First Home

We bought our first home back in August of this year and we have love love loved it so far! Our neighbors have been awesome, although we are about the only couple without kids so we feel a little out of place sometimes with all the kids running around! There are a lot of friends and family that haven't been able to check out our humble abode so here are a few pics to show you where we have been living. The only pictures I'm posting is of the main level. The second floor has 4 beds, 2 baths, and a loft but it is completely bare....literally!! So there isn't much to take pictures of yet. Our bedroom has a bed but that is about it. Imagine tan carpet with stark white walls and you will be able to picture it just fine:) I will be sure to post pictures of the upstairs as we fill it up.

There is also a bath and laundry room on the main level but I didn't get pictures of those rooms. It has taught us a lot about how much money it is to own a home.....YOWSA!! It has definitely forced us to budget our money and be better about our spending. We realized just how much money we were spending on random things when we were in our apartment in Orem and it made us sick! Oh how the good old days of spending frivolously are behind us.
